NEET UG Counselling — Overview
NEET UG counselling is conducted by two authorities: (1) MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) for All India Quota (15% seats) + Deemed/Central universities, and (2) State Counselling Authorities (like DMER Haryana) for remaining 85% State Quota seats in government and private colleges.

Both MCC (All India) and DMER Haryana (State) counselling happen simultaneously. You must register separately for both if you want to be considered for both types of seats.

MCC and State counselling are SIMULTANEOUS — you can participate in both. If you get a better seat in MCC, you can exit DMER (and vice versa). Plan carefully.

DMER Haryana — State Counselling
Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Haryana conducts State Quota counselling for 85% seats in all Haryana government and private medical colleges. Only students with Haryana domicile are eligible for State Quota.

For Jind students: PGIMS Rohtak (50 km from Jind) is the best Haryana government MBBS option. State quota cutoff ~560–600 in NEET General. Apply through DMER Haryana portal.
